                                                             Leah Portland
Winning Model of the 4th week Ms.Fs*Stylista in the Theme Surrealism-

Leah Managed to amaze the judges with her choices of styling-

the judges thought her vision came through blanace in shapes, colors and textures.

Thejewelry choices are amazingly complete the relashionship with the her choice of hair and create tenssion with her dress.

they called it surrealism couture. congratulations Leah and goodluck!

Discription: Let's welcome Leah Portland to the runway wearing her outfit which was actually inspired by Finesmith Jewellery. Leah has called her outfit unrescue me...why? Because she says,

"the Disturbia veil for some reason made me want to climb inside a cage. " Unrescue me has been compiled from the top and gloves from Eshi Otwara's Black Gems are Forever, and the skirt and orb from Miamai's Blacklabel Undine.

Leah has chosen to accessorise with hair form L+N Avant-Garde Fireworks, the Finesmith Disturbia Veil, O collecition -03 necklace and O collection Oxygen bracelet. Leah chose to wear the bracelet as she said that she needed oxygen inside the orb. Leah's shoes are the Gothica from Mea Culpa and her nails are the Vendetta D style from Gems and Kisses. Indeed Surreal.

VelvetOnyx Jewell wears Finesmith Tension Necklace and Earing.

The Bronze Necklace around Velvets Neck reminds of a snake twine around a victim.

The Earrings come down from her ears like little crawlers.

The hair is inspired by a Devilfish and gives Velvet a realy interesting Look.

Her Skin with the black green and golden tones give her a real surreal Touch.

The Outfit in SilverBlack is designed by Exxess and gives her a special Touch.

"Dreams are my reality...."
Is there a border between dreams and reality? What can dreams tell us?
Surrealist try to answer this question in art and fashion and connect "dreams" with "reality".
In my interpretation of the theme i used the" Finesmith Disturbia collection-veil" to underline this theme. Sometimes there are things in reality you don't see "aware", cause you don't take time to look at them and don't pay attention. This can be things, places, behavior or feelings. Your eyes are hidden therefor, but our subconscious realizes many things and take them into our dreams...

So dreams can be a source and give force, but they also can frighten and destroy your soul... Surrealism tries to explain this pressure. For my style-up i also involved bracelets from the "lilac collection".

Surealism id fashion is Injecting a sense of humour, or at least a sense of fantasy, into design...

For every person who loves a colourful Alessi espresso cup, there is another who feels like offering violence when presented with a grinning corkscrew or any other kitchen draw item that comes day in, day out with a personality and punchline.

But for me, i prefer to relay to you the meaning of surrealism in my own comprehension through my fantasy outfit...
I am a The Sea Fairy.... sweet and calm... but sometimes difficult to understand and hard to calm down...
I choose Finesmith Fearless Blosson Jewelry set for my outfit for as a sea creature i am fearless and brave....

My outfit for today is from .::Pure Poisoned::. MAINSTORE, Ferraris Estates 19 (20, 220, 9 which is called *[PP]- Evil Sea Witch*
My hair is from bought throught xstreet and is called 3 Star Hair / Night's Daughter / Mer..

                                                                  Rissa Friller
My inspiration for today's Surrealism theme started with the Disturbia veil. It reminded me of a Dreamy fantasy look. I then searched through countless images of Surreal style images on google and went shopping in world for the perfect dress. I knew instantly when i saw this dress from Vita's Boudoir called Vitabela Air Dress that it captured that perfect look of a dream-like fantasy surreal image.

Dress: Vita's Boudoir- Vitabela Air Dress

Hair- Bliss Hair (Lucy) in Vanille

Skin- Lara (Leah) in smokey nude (milky)

Lipstick-Glamorize in Vanilla Frosting

                                                            Kalissyah Moonwall.

For the theme of this week, I chose to honor a universe which attracts(entices) me since my childhood and which I like particularly: the witches and the magic.

To do it, I decided to embody the fairy Evil spell, the miserable godmother of Aurore in the Sleeping Beauty, in the a little more current and sexier version but which keeps(preserves) however the spirit of the character. It is moreover the first time when I dare to embody a malefic character then I hope that it will please you.

I thus carry(wear) the holding(dress) " Sexy Maléfica " from Sexy Peach, accompanied with the hairstyle " Héléna " realized by Tukinogawa, the whole decorated with signed earrings Finesmith and of a black make-up Back and Writer.

Let us not mince words: the marvelous is always beautiful. anything marvelous is beautiful, in fact only the marvelous is beautiful. These are the words of Andre Breton and the Manifesto of Surrealism. Surrealism was a revolutionary movement in art, literature, film and more world wide.

My inspiration comes directly from the art of Dali, Magritte and Miro there work features the elements of surprise, the unexpected juxtapositions and the non sequitur.

The Checkmate Dress from Percious Restless, gives me the stark carves of black and white. To show off the Surreal elements of the Disturbia collection - Veil with its fine cut work lace and hanging gems, That allows a hint of the eyes looking back at you or at least you hope they are.

Fellini Couture Black Rose hair gives the perch for our fine feather friend that’s has had a big part in the Surrealism world. Finesmith jewelry Chloe's Hallusinations earring dangs from her beak.

This brings me full circle to the words: the marvelous is always beautiful. Thank you

At this time I do not have a modeling resume. I'm now attending the LOOK Elite Academy and loving every part of it. I would like to thank you for this opportunity.

Helen Zhora

Surrealism "The romance between fashion and the Surrealist movement began in the early 20’s

when the movement broke away from the written word to embrace objects. The appeal of Surrealism to the fashion industry is instantly obvious in their use of ordinary everyday objects and weird landscapes that transferred easily to fabric printing, jewellery, hats, couture etc, allowing designers the freedom to create “art pieces”, and this fascination worked both ways as what covered the body had always been important to the Surrealist philosophy, in the way that it allowed the imagination to wonder what lay underneath, and this translated easily into wearable garments."

Today, Lady Helen Zhora is wearing a unique artistic expression of bronze and explosions of gold splashes of chocolate metal. This design is a Charltina Bronze Surreal Bronze and Black has a black feathered knee length skirt that flares outward from the hips. The Bronze top is a halter design that scoops around the neck and down the back with an open stomach and back to show off a beautiful torso and lower back. The hair included consists of feathered prims in bronze and black and includes a flexi piece to flow with the movement of the wearer.

Today, Lady Helen is wearing the beautiful finesmith Jewerly entitled the O collection this golden lush jewelry inspires hearts to look twice. The matching dripping earrings are deliciously designed to capture the 2nd and third look from admirer's home and abroad.

SL to RL Love, Yula Finesmiths Story

How many of you believe you can meet and fall in love with someone online and it can develop into a real life relationship? Well I am a firm believer and can relate to Yula's story, so for anyone that thinks it is impossible read below. Yula was gracious enough to share her experience.

Yula and Spliph

Perla: Did you think it possible to meet someone online and fall in love with them in real life?

Yula: Never, I thought it was ridiculous that this happens to people. I am a very realistic person. Very involved in real life with my family and friends. I never thought it would happen to me

Perla: But then it did happen to you. :-)

Yula: I was amazed to hear stories when I came to SL and see so many couples. I thought it was weird.

Yula: I was in my store right after it opened and he came in with one of the models. He had only been in SL for a week and hand dreads and funny pants so we started laughing together. I was going to get married in RL and did not think of falling in love.

Perla: You were engaged in RL at the time?

Yula: Yes, I was engaged with a ring on my finger and it actually was a pretty good relationship.

Perla: Wow, that is amazing.

Yula: Spliph and I got closer and we became friends and then a couple in SL. We started exploring and playing games in SL and had so much fun. I was always into making my jewelry and fashion and not playing the game.

Perla: Did he live in the same country?

Yula: I am from Israel and he was from the states.

Perla: It must have been difficult to tell your fiancée in RL

Yula: Yes, it was very hard and I told him I was not ready for marriage so we split up. 6 months me and Spliph were in SL together day and night and also meeting on Skype.

Perla: Well you really developed a strong connection.

Yula: I had never met a guy like him before. He was patient and generous and 6 years younger than me I am proud to say :-)

Perla: Woohooo.. How did you handle the time difference?

Yula: He would wake up every morning at 3am to talk to me for an hour and then wake up early before going to work and we talked again.

Perla: You guys had a solid routine.

Yula: We also had messenger and text messaged each other all day. It took a lot of commitment.

Yula: After 6 months we decided it was time to meet and we each made arrangements to take a flight to Barcelona, Spain. I kept thinking wow, what am I doing? what’s going to happen because it was virtual all this time and we never touched. I was afraid of attraction issues because people can look different on cam. The moment I saw him walk off the plane I ran into his arms just like in the movies.

Perla: It sounds too good to be true. Just like a movie. Wowww.

Yula: We stayed in Barcelona for one week visiting historic places as we are both big art lovers. On the last day of our trip we cried so much. This is how I knew our feelings were so real.

Perla : What happened next? Did he visit you in Israel?

Yula: A month later I took a flight to the states and the rest is history. We have been married for one and a half years now.

Perla: Well you really followed your heart and this is proof that people can find rl love online. When you meet someone online you become connected on a mental and emotional level. This is inspiration that if you open your heart to love anything is possible.

This reminds me of a song sung by Marvin Gaye " Ain't No Mountain High Enough, Ain't No Valley Low Enough. Ain't No River Wild Enough. To Keep Me From Getting To You Babe"

One thing that I have learned is we can think love away with our mind instead of opening our hearts.
